Iwas walking down the street when I was accostedby a particularly dirty and shabby-lookinghomeless woman who asked me for a couple ofdollars for dinner.

Itook out my wallet、got out ten dollars andasked、'If I give you this money、will you buywine with it instead of dinner?'

'Well、 I said、'I'm not going to give you the money.Instead、I'm going to take you out for dinnerwith my husband and me tonight.'

Thehomeless Woman was shocked. 'Won't your husbandbe furious with you for doing that? I know I'mdirty、and I probably smell pretty disgusting.'

Isaid、'That's okay. It's important for him tosee what a woman looks like after she has givenup shopping、hair appointments、and wine.'
