A Child's View of Thunderstorms
小孩眼中的閃電暴風雨
A little girl walked to and from school daily.
有個小女孩每天都走路去上學,
Though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were
forming, she made her daily trek to school.
雖然早上天候不佳，烏雲密佈，還是跟平常一樣走路去上學。

As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with lightning.
午後風勢加驟，夾帶閃電。
The mother of the little girl felt concerned that her daughter would be frightened as she walked home from school. She also feared the electrical storm might harm her child.
女孩的母親擔心小女孩會被暴風雨打雷嚇到，甚至受傷。
Full of concern, the mother got into her car and quickly drove alongthe route to her child's school.
開車去接小女孩。
As she did, she saw her little girl walking along.
她開著車，看到小女孩沿著路走。
At each flash of lightning, the child would stop, look up, and smile.
每逢閃電，小女孩就停下來，抬頭仰望，微笑。
More lighting followed quickly and with each, the little girl would
look at the streak of light and smile.
好幾個閃電連續襲來，每擊一次，小女孩就抬頭仰望閃電，微笑。
When the mother drew up beside the child, she lowered the window and called, "What are you doing?"
小女孩母親把車驅近女孩，搖低了車窗問:
妳在幹嘛?
The child answered, "I am trying to look pretty because God keeps taking my picture."
小女孩回道:我想讓自己看起來漂亮點，因為上帝在幫我
拍照!!!
