在今(12)日舉行的線上發佈會中，Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE)公佈了PlayStation 5(PS5)的最新資訊，包括次世代主機的外觀設計，以及將於新平台上推出的豐富新遊戲陣容。與以往的PlayStation主機截然不同的雙色設計， PS5將推出兩款不同選項：一款配備超高清(Ultra HD)藍光光碟機的標準型號，以及一款沒有光碟機的數位型號。

    今日的直播亦為粉絲首次披露將於PlayStation5上定義新世代遊戲體驗的多款新遊戲。這些遊戲大部分將會以主機獨佔或完全獨佔遊戲的形式於PS5上推出。 
   全賴SIE與Rockstar Games之間緊密的合作關係，跨越世代的著名系列遊戲《Grand Theft Auto》將於PS5面世。經過提升及擴充的《Grand Theft Auto V》及《Grand Theft Auto Online》將於2021年下半年登陸PS5。
    除此以外，SIE Worldwide Studios及多家業界頂尖的發行商及開發商亦公佈了一系列的PS5遊戲陣容，展現出PS5獨特遊戲體驗的深度及廣度。來自PlayStationStudios的本家獨佔遊戲包括《Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales》(Insomniac Games)、《Gran Turismo 7》(Polyphony Digital)及《Horizon Forbidden West》(Guerrilla Games)。 
    已披露的第三方發行商遊戲陣容包括《NBA 2K21》(2K Visual Concepts)及《RESIDENT EVIL™ VILLAGE》(Capcom)等暢銷遊戲系列作品，以及《DEATHLOOP™》(Bethesda)及《Project Athia*》 (Square Enix/Luminous Productions)等，將於PS5推出的主機獨家遊戲新作。而來自獨立遊戲開發商的《Stray》(Annapurna/ Blue Twelve Studio)及《Bugsnax》(Young Horses)等遊戲，則讓玩家看到將登陸新平台的內容極具多樣性。 
 SIE亦公佈了一系列全新PS5周邊設備，為玩家提升遊戲體驗。包括：PULSE 3D無線耳機組：支援3D音效並搭載雙重抗噪麥克風；HD 攝影機：配備雙重1080p鏡頭，讓玩家可在播送精彩遊玩時刻的同時，加插他們自己的肖像；媒體遙控器：備有內建麥克風的遙控器，讓用戶輕易瀏覽電影及串流服務；以及DualSense 充電座：可輕易為2個DualSense無線控制器充電。 
PlayStation5的售價及更多額外資訊將隨後公佈。
